Progress

Early in the day, sky is dull

Just like our courage when beginning.

With progress through the day, it’s shining

Nicest thing happens when the time is ripe.

Bored at Work

The road is full of flowers.
Nature awarded you with these prize
Walking to see butterflies…
Free my mind from a tight cubicle
Of dim light & room full of papers,
Computer-generated pollutant,
Block my mind, blur my sight, freeze my hand.
Let’s make plan, see flowers, worth the time.

Non-perfectionism

Once I asked my sis what is best
When my hair is straight or updo
My sis say it is all up to you
Woman do have several styles.

Nothing is the best of all things
We can bring our looks to all types
Today, tomorrow, all those kinds
just what you feel like, do them all.

Old Book Chemistry

Digging through old books from the shelf,
Discovered thyself memory.
Old books have some chemistry
From primary school back then.

I dreamt to reach the star
Thus far seems out of my fence.
My imaginary abstinence
Has happened from so many things.

Out of my familiar zone,
On a few smart phones and my bench,
Distraction that I have befriended
Suck persistence out from my soul.

Is this called a burn out–
When we’re aroused by nothingness?
Should not that be a bless
To access window of the life,

When fire inside was absent
When we don’t want to fight
When mountain seems so high
&Simple life is my medal.

Photo Filter

New floral filter on App Looks
It took pictures so pretty
That’s only in my fantasies,
The real me looks nothing like it’s shown.
Today I feel so exhausted
I paused to play with deceiver
And it lies that I am young forever
What matter was a girl hidden inside
Wrinkles and dark circles around eyes
Freckles got from sunshine every morning
Tears of joy, marks from smile and frowning
Causing this poor thing to get old.
Is it matter how she looks like
If she’s nice and kind as ever.
Some say that it does not matter
So please smile to her when we see.
Baby days so frequent at the peak,
People seek and hide smiling
At forty life got interesting,
But smiling was something a bit rare,
As it seems hidden with what’s inside.
So people don’t smile frequently
Therein hidden unsung story
So pity most are not to be told
To people around from outside
And all kinds of those stranger
Busy life goes by forever
The closer circle was so small.
Till one day the muscles were numb
One only feel handsome on selfie
An unpurposeful smile becomes cheesy
Whilst it used to be best medicine.

Designing & Sewing future

When I was a young girl I wondered,
How Singer machine can neatly
Help my Mom sew zillion of artistry-
Tailor made and fancy wedding gown.
She was a professional dress maker,
Designer of her own fashion.
How pity she’s in heaven for one,
Life was stunt I’ve never get to sew.
That time I was only eleven
It happened like a flash of memory
I grew up a humble & tiny
Tailor-made drug design researcher.
Machines at present day are very wise.
Poem like this one, can it weave?
I was told AI will replicize
Till human like I will be defeated.

Niras MGGE trip

20160918_121555Composed by Ajarn Wi Tanramluk.

Saturday we woke up at dawn,

Meeting at the front lawn to register,

On MGGE airline trip remember?

Together we go to Muang Karn.

We get breakfast on the coach,

We have roast pork then go to Pueng Wan,

Introduce ourselves was so much fun.

We have run out of words to explain

Ourselves in two words about how

Unlike cow we control population.

Then we have our yummy lunch

And have fun with  Sai Yor draw the rope

Seven people pick the bottle,

We’re able to do it with much hope,

We did some chopsticktoscope

To shovel buttons in a jar.

There’s so much we have seen

Like a teen with guitar and bongo

We stopped by and take group photos

With our friends, we let go our armour

We bend down and breaking the ice,

Being nice to these strangers.

We may not know him or her

But they offered us helping hands

All the activities we have played

To stay stronger together.

With unbreakable bond we offered

A letter containing core values.

We are proud to be MGGE crew

To take you to a big adventure.

A few years from now remember

Advisers and friends tend to remain

With you during your ups and downs.

When lab gown stained with experience.

Please you guys only be patience.

You are recipients of our love and care.

How to Read Wi’s Poem

I have been practicing how to master Thai’s 8-word poems to translate lots of my กลอนสุภาพ collection to English. With this type of poem, you basically pronounce them by fitting the sentence in 3/2/3 or 3/3/3 words and pausing in between as shown below.

Obstacle.... is there! ....."bearable"
From a girl..... can become..... a lady
Works my way..... to fullest..... dignity
With happy.... young soul.... from within.
 -Wi Tanramluk

The advantage of having this type of fixed rhyme is that it is easier to memorise lengthy stories as there was a connection of vowels between each sentence. Since the thai sentences has no full-stop and no tenses, you will find sometimes my sentences are very long but the use of words towards the gist of story are connected both in sound and in meaning.
